Today I got my new dress from “Baby, The Stars Shines Bright”.
I had been very excited, but a bit worried that It wouldn’t fit since this would be my first One-piece dress I had ever bought from “Baby” and it doesn’t have shirring in the back, whitch all my Jumperskirts has for a ease of fit. But according to the measurements from their homepage, it would suit me just fine. And the length (which has always been my main concern) would be 94cm which is just the length all my Jumperskirts have so the length would also be perfect.
I ordered it from their Japanese Web-page and the cost of the dress was about 1719kr, and then there was shipping and custom, so the whole price ended on about 2700kr. That is alot of money, and for that amount of money I want perfection. ((We have talked about this before. Me reaching for impossible things))
So here is my Review of the dress.

Review of:
Lame dot chiffon dessert one piece dress (( ラメドットシフォンデザートワンピース ))

My First impression:
As I open the box, take away the pink paper and look at it just laying in the bag, I immediately see the white elastic-band that surrounds the right shoulder.
The fabric is very sheer and you can clearly see it. This really made a bad first impression, since the other shoulder looked just fine since they have had an extra layer of fabric over the elastic-band so it was well hidden.
Beside that, the color is wonderful. I don’t like pastels so when “Baby” made this dress in this old pink color-way, I was very Happy!
The Dress:
I take out the dress and examine it very accurate and the more I look at it, I kinda like it a bit less. The elastic-ribbon is very visible, the bows are tied to the sides or upside down and the fabric itself is very gentle and smooth, but the dots on it are a bit to “fluffy” for my taste. They look cute on the dress in general, but on the thin back-ties, they are very visible and the fabric almost looks thorn.
I pull the sheered skirt up and examine the hem on the lining. The first thing that comes to mind is that the lining is hemmed to the wrong side so you clearly see the hem from the outside of the dress since the top layer of the fabric is so cheer.
Beside that, I also think that the lining should have been turned inside-out for this dress, so the shiny side would be visible under the sheer fabric so it would flow a bit more with the character of the dress itself. It said on the web-page that the dress is 94cm, and I’m that is very true, but as I tried it on, it looks to short since the linning is shorter that the sheer outer fabric.
Trying it on:
I put on the dress and it suits excellent over my torso. (Phew)
Though when its on, I really can’t see it fitting my personality. I’m kinda disappointed on the bottom hem of it and its length (curse my long, delicate legs) and I feel a bit childish in it with all the glittery dots.
I usually feel femenin and sweet, but not today, and not in this dress. I feel a bit let down by my own high hopes but perhaps I will change my mind if I use it in a nice coordination, else I will re-sell it since the tags are still on.
Thank you so much for reading, I hope you enjoyed my review!
So, I made it to Cherryblossom-day. And to be fair… I couldn’t have been more… is it called “fish out of water”? I went there with Reira and Kagi, but I was feeling a bit warm, so I asked them if I could go to the theatre and leave my jacket there so I didn’t need to carry it around. Reira needed to go to powder her nose so she came with me and Kagi went on by herself. At the theatre, I see my co-workers having a meeting so I, in my elegance, smack into the glass-door to scare the *beep* out of them, which I succeed with. They laughed (thank god they did) and let me and Reira in. There my boss asked me if I wishes to work, but I said no since I wore my sky-blue lolitadress and we are only suppose to wear black at work. She said it didn’t bother her, but I had waited for so long for this day, I kindly declined anyway. We get to the bathroom and Reira takes a mirror to actually powder her nose and I tries to get my hat on. With it on the right spot, Reira also gives me a cute hair-do. I love how she always takes care of me in the best way. She was also the one ordering the dress I had on. When I was done, I went outside. As Victoria sees me, she smiles wide. Victoria: I need a hug cause’ you’re so cute! I gladly gave her one, then Jocke looks at me. Jocke: Does this mean that If I look outside the window, there will be hundreds of “you” running around the streets? Me: Nope, there is only one of me, and today I think I look the sweetest. Jocke: I’m sure you do. We both smiles. I usually don’t have a big ego, but today I really did feel pretty. I walk outside with Reira and we explore the whole area. Its not that much going on, I think I had to high expectations as always. But it was really nice to see all people having fun and to be out in the sun. So we decided to sit down on a bench for a short while to rest our legs. And that’s when a old man comes up behind me… Man: Excuse me, may I borrow your hat? Me: My hat…? What for? Man: I want to have it on! He seemed like a nice man, so I started to untie it. Man: No-no! I was just joking! It was so sweet I had to say something. Hehe, you are also a really sweet person, I shall send a mail to Santa and say that you have been extra nice this year! Then he left smiling and I look like a question-mark while Reira laughs. After a few minutes, we are both a bit bored so Reira came with the idea that we where going to escape. Reira: We should go to Djurgården and eat Ice-cream instead! Me: But its so far away! Reira: We’ll take the tram! Me: Its so slow and the seats are so tiny! (I do NOT have a fat ass… they are tiny!) Reira: Then how about the boat? Me: …well… do I wear a sailor-hat… So we left the bench and went for an adventure on water. We walk the distance to Slussen, then gets on the boat. It was really calming and cozy to go by boath a nice day like this. When we arrive, we buy ice-cream with rainbow-sprinkles and sits down on a stair outside Hasselbacken. It was really fun. Then we took the tram back to the event and sat down on the same bench before we decided that we was tired and it was time to go home and have some dinner. I might have been a bit disappointed but Reira always know how to save the day.
My sax-blue dress from “Baby, The Stars Shines Bright”.
I love this dress and I think I did the right decision to wear blue this day
since I didn’t see any other blue dress. Hehe.
So I won’t attend “Cherryblossom-day…” UNLESS I get saved by some devine power.

My latest creation; a new headbow for my… head!
Its made in a quite speciell fabric I bought years ago, the last of it. Mwahaha. But I have never known what to make out of it, so I took some cm from it and made a headbow… only 6 meters left. :D
